Still funny, just not as good as it use to be.
on 7 December 2013
I was a massive fan of seasons 1-3 of this show. However I hadn't watched the show for a while before checking out this one.
This season still had its very funny moments. Liz gets a long term boyfriend, who took a bit to grow on me, but is a good addition. Jenna's stuff is always funny. I know people hate her but Hazel is a funny new character who improves the Kenneth Character a lot (Certainly not a Gertrude moon like some say). The season is let down in my opinion by two of Alec's stories. The north Korea bit is just silly and pretty incidental to the season (so why put it in?). The second is his relationship with his mother in law. Not only has the jack relationship formula been done 3 times already, but it just seems forced and unnecessary. Tracy also seems to have less story's around him too. Also, some writer seems to think the word Pen*us is hilarious, appearing way to many times.
The Shower Principle, Idiots are people 2/3 (hilarious Kelsey Grammer cameo)
Hay Baby what's wrong: Padded to 40 minutes, with a long IKEA advert and boring jack subplot (the Vampire UN sketch is one of 30 rock's low points in my view)
Meet the Woggles: Do Jack and his mother love each other?, only been done 6 times before.
Live show 2: I like the first but this seems an advert for other NBC shows and the cast struggle with really weak material.
Extras: 2 and 3 look very good compared to the recent ones. There are less comentarys, which is a good thing compared to 5. Jane and Mr Tina Fey do a good one (wished it was one with Jack though). Again, way too many deleted scenes.
Sorry if I am sounding moany. I am just a huge fan over analysing. Fans' should check it out.
