Avoid if genuinely heavy lifting

Depending on their use you are either going to think these are great value or almost unusable. If you are a moderate lifter, using these for machines, dumbbells and lighter lifts e.g. deadlifting under 180kg these are perfect. However, if you are a heavy lifter (I use them for 320kg deadlifts) they will literally tear the skin off your wrists. I have been using these for a while thinking the skin will toughen up but it hasn't and they have scared my wrists to a point where I look like a self harmer. I would suggest a padded pair if lifting very heavy.
