Ten minute read lacking any tension or scare factor.

Ridiculously short story for the price of the download. Took around ten minutes to read the whole thing from cover to cover. That's bad enough but it's so short there's absolutely no space for Masterton to work in any tension or fear factor. It's strangely flat as the three key characters are dragged to what transpires to be a really hurried and completely unbelievable ending. What a shame. This brief outline of a story with it's hints of ancient Celtic mythology and tradition could have been expanded into a really good novel. 2* because it's stupidly short however; the folklore/mythology angle really appealed to me. No scare, little tension and incredibly lightweight for this author. I'm not recommending.
