5.0 out of 5 stars Dont go into the Woods - Excellent Horror Story
Wow what an excellent book although I downloaded it for free having read it I would gladly pay for a copy. This is horror at its best. Jennifer and a few friends decide to go to Boggy Creek and stay in her fathers cabin. Wow what an excellent book although I downloaded it for free having read it I would gladly pay for a copy. This is horror at its best. Jennifer and a few friends decide to go to Boggy Creek and stay in her fathers cabin. Little does she know but campers have been disappearing in the woods for years but only the remains of the men are found, no sign of any women. A neighbour visits Jennifer to advise her and her friends that they are not safe and should return home but they take no notice. They then decide to go camping in the swamp for a few days and begin to disappear one at a time. Would love to see a second book to continue the story. Highly recommend this book to everyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Big-foot lives!, 12 Jan. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: BOGGY CREEK: The Legend Is True (Kindle Edition)
The story has all the essential ingredients for a typical B-Movie:

1. The usual bunch of teenagers (the angsty one, the pretty bitchy one, the fun loving one, the sensitive one and the practical joker), all of whom seem quite willing to make the usual horror cliché mistakes.
2. An ageing town sheriff who is more interested in keeping the peace solving the mystery of the disappearing locals/campers.
3. A young deputy willing to ignore the orders of his superior to discover the truth.
4. Creepy townsfolk who seem to know more than they let on.
5. A vast forest/lake setting
6. A human-like monster that can seemingly blend into its surroundings.

Add to this a decent standard of writing, a believable back-story and buckets of gore, and you have a near perfect horror story.

4.5 stars
