Not as good as I expected
on 19 November 2015
My first reaction was I thought they were the bees knees. I bought two of them so I was able to compare and I found that each of them was giving a different reading up to 0.2 - 0.3g apart and one was sometimes slower to read than the other. I switched them around and put them on different parts of the table to test the variables and the results were always dodgy. I realise that 0.2g doesnt sound like much, but when you're reading things that are only 5g thats quite a difference. I think what frustrated me more though was the lack of readings below 2g. I mean what on earth were they thinking? They were thinking people will only use this for coffee brewing, but thats not the case for everyone. I also wish it was a backlit screen and we could change from grams if we wanted to. Not that I do, but I realise some might want that.
On the plus side I love the touch buttons. Very sensitive if maybe a bit of delayed reaction, but still very happy with this aspect of it. Good that it can show minus numbers as well. I would buy again, but mainly because it has a built in timer and while it can be off on its readings at times its basically accurate for most of what I need it for. I think its got room for improvement.
