Bought for a christmas gift after recommendation in hmv shop as suitable for 9 year old to play games, browse Internet and watch movies. It is awful and going back to the shop this weekend. It constantly freezes, loses wifi signal or just doesn't even get it. Switches itself off and then we can't get it back on. The touch screen is unresponsive. Freezes constantly and I mean constantly. We have an ipad 2 at home as well as a versus tablet both of which work great. I would definitely not buy this tablet.

I bought my GBook from Bentham as a refurb (not via Amazon); Bentham (t/a Morgan Computers) were most unhelpful when I reported the problems with it to them - claiming the problems must be due to my BT hub, which they clearly were not - and wouldn't do a refund. When it arrived, I thought its display looked good, sharp and clear. But it rapidly went downhill from there. Its battery life is appalling; when wifi is in use, I would judge it as being under an hour. It takes an age to connect to anything on the internet; and IF - very much "IF" - it manages to find anything, it more often than not comes back with "unavailable". Why? Because it seems to lose its memory of e.g. passwords and the access key for my hub if the battery goes below about 1/3 charge. It seems to spend most of its life below 1/3 charge, too; also worth pointing out that if the battery is below 1/3 charge it will not even attempt to connect to the net - but doesn't tell the user why. The whole point of a tablet is portability; this one is a joke - it's as portable as the length of its charging cable.

I haven't tried to download a book (not what I bought it for), but given its performance, I wouldn't even try.

I've given up trying to use it after about two months and several tries to get it to work properly and consistently. It'll probably soon end up in our local tip - where it belongs.

It's battery life is awful. Charge it completely, turn it off and don't use it for a day. When you try to turn it on after a day, it says "low battery"! Gets hung every ten minutes. Slow processor.

Only positive is its display.

Bought it to read ebooks. But returned it as it was seriously good for nothing. I suggest you don't buy it.
