4.0 out of 5 stars Great guide for those already interested in the job.
A good guide to the reality of the job. Something you'd rarely read about on the recruiting sites. Highly recommended for anyone considering the job but isn't directly involved with a service already.
The margin gaps are too small in the centre of the book but not to the point it's unreadable, and it is very concise as well, no wasted words, but you do finish wanting...

3.0 out of 5 stars Worth a Read
This book is a very worthwhile read, if you are interested in going into the paramedic career. It gives you a reasonable amount of information, about a number of aspects of the career. However in certain areas there could be a lot more detail added, and how the book has been put together, it is hard to read some of the writing due to the close proximity of the binding to...

Best bet is to buy the paramedics diary and get some examples of what you'll have just read about.

3.0 out of 5 stars Worth a Read, 23 Jun. 2009
This book is a very worthwhile read, if you are interested in going into the paramedic career. It gives you a reasonable amount of information, about a number of aspects of the career. However in certain areas there could be a lot more detail added, and how the book has been put together, it is hard to read some of the writing due to the close proximity of the binding to the writing.
But this is definately worth a read if you are interested in this career option.

3.0 out of 5 stars Its alright, 22 Jun. 2013

The content is great and is a wealth of knowledge, however the formatting is terrible... by that I mean the printing.

There is just too much text on each page that stretches edge to edge, I am finding myself having to bend the book over on itself to read words that are embedded into the centre spice of the book.... The publisher really needs to do something about the margins. Other than that, its a good book.

Well worth the 0.01p plus £2.70 p&p, would not recommend paying anything more

Well worth getting this book if you are thinking about a career within the ambulance service country wide UK.

This gives you a insite into the entry requirments and trade secrets, giving you that extra edge against others applying for the same job.

I would recommend this book if you are considering a career in the ambulance service. The book gives a fairly good insight about the job and touches on some subjects you probably wouldn't cover in the classroom.
