I first experienced an eye pillow when I went for a birthday treat spa treatment. I immediately went home and ordered this one. I am a migraine sufferer and find it so soothing.as It not only shuts out all the light but has a calming aroma as well. The only downside is that I have to lie flat on my back to use it, as if I lie on my side it slips off. I did think about putting elastic on it but then realised the "beans" would just slide to one end. I would still definitely recommend purchasing this, as the benefits far out weigh the "sleep mask" I used to use.

This eye pillow is made from good quality fabrics and is really well finished. The silk brocade cover is stunning to look at and very comfortable on eyes that feel 'hard boiled' after a day in front of a computer screen. The hemp seed filling weighs the pillow down with just the right amount of pressure. I bought this for yoga and would really like a version without the lavender, as I find the scent a bit distracting. However, the lavender comes into its own if you use it for five or ten minutes before going to sleep.

This was the first 'yoga eye pillow' I have ever purchased so I have nothing to compare it against, it is certainly very nice and covers the eyes well; however, I have given it 4 stars as opposed to 5 because I am wondering if there are any eye pillows that are maybe a little wider and therefore cover the eyes absolutely completely so that not a single drop of light can find its way to your eyes ~ I am on the look out for this!
