I purchased this title as an introduction to the Incredible Hulk character. I have never been a comic book collector and hoped that this ebook would give me some insight into which issues and/or anthologies to collect as a novice in the vast comic book universe. It did this very well, indeed. There is a summary of the Hulk's appearances in all media, as well as a precis of the story of the Hulk from its beginnings to the present day and finally, what I was looking for in particular, a summary of the author's 10 most highly recommended Hulk storylines. And for 77p the price was certainly right.
"Why only give a cheaply-priced title only three stars if it did exactly what you wanted it to?", I hear you bellowing at your screen in exasperation. Well, it's because of the proof reading. There was none. Zero. Naught. Nada. Have I flogged this dead horse enough yet, or should I carry on? There are multiple typographical, spelling and grammatical errors on nearly every page. A few are bound to slip past even the best proof reader, they are only human, after all, but the sheer quantity of errors in here tells me that it was not checked at all before being released for public consumption. Which when you are charging money, no matter how small the sum, is unacceptable.
As a result this very informative but equally poorly proof read little tome gets 3 stars instead of the 5 it otherwise deserved.
