Very bad experience

My card developed a hardware fault after a few months of use. I contacted ASUS support to address this through the warranty and have been bitterly disappointed with the disregard they have shown for their customers.
There is no phone support for customers who buy graphics cards. There is an option on their automated menu however this just puts you through to a recorded message stating that you must log your case online. It show contempt for their customers that only netbook and laptop customers are entitled to phone support. I've bought motherboards and graphics cards that cost more than most netbooks but apparently I do not deserve similar level of support.
I received a response by mail stating that they would not honor my warranty as the GPU was registered as being purchased in Germany although it was bought via Amazon.co.uk. I assume this is because Amazon trades under Amazon EU SARL which is registered in Germany.
I have been exclusively buying and recommending ASUS motherboards, laptops and PCI products for personal and professional use however this experience has made it clear that my custom is not valued and that if any faults occur they are not interested in providing follow-up support.
