Wonderfully put together, Sylvian Chomet is a real craftsman; there is such beauty, an immense artistry to this.

If you have never heard of this, buy it, and if you have, own it.

When all is destroyed by the cloud, when your brain is stored and saved in a cloud, and the statesmen upload new policies and concepts, morals etc. and the App, you, is being upgraded every month to fix your bugs, all you will have left is the basic motor functions of your body, and a TV and DVD player (which in my fantasy dystopia you will by the way, don't question me; don't worry I'm confused too) when you robotically pick up a DVD and put it on, and it is this one, it will allow you to recollect a time, and a feeling of humanity, much like in lemons and limes rhyme in 1984

And you can let your kids watch it, on a Sunday, rain patting the windows softly, with a marzipan Ritter sport and pot of tea, and they will transfixed; this will offer them a glimpse at a distinct, and stunning artist, an inspiration I feel

I sawand decided to revisit

I watched this year's ago and decided to re-visit the film recently. It has lost nothing of its enjoyment over the intervening years and I'm glad to own it in my collection and have it on hand for repeated viewing. It's a stark, but witty, look at competitive cycling and a grandmother's love for her only grandson. Would you think that the two things go together? No? Well, you'd be wrong! Watch and learn - oh, and enjoy.

Most entertaining and engrossing. The observation of the creators of this cartoon film is striking and skilfully expressed to catch the eye and engage one throughout.

Brilliant DVD I would recommend it to any one - all ages will find something different about it and you can watch it more than once.

Delightfully charming and beautifully illustrated story … told with pathos, humour and a dark sense of the absurd.

One of the most wonderful film experiences of all time, and don't worry about subtitles - there are none.
