Wildmind: A Step-by-step Guide to Meditation
on 5 April 2008
I have looked at numerous books and CDs recently to help me get started with a meditation practice, and this is by far the very best. In fact I have sold all the others, but this one I shall definitely be keeping. As well as very easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions, there are sections answering questions you might have concerning the practices. I would recommend you have an online look at the "Table of Contents" in the "Inside this Book" section, as this will amaze you with the many different topics the book covers. The only niggle I have is with the silly size of the book. I know this is to prevent it being read like a novel, but it continually annoyed me as the book flopped around between my lap, and reading it made my hands tired and uncomfortable after a while. But the book is so exceptionally useful I can overlook the design faults! If you are a beginner and want to learn Buddhist meditation, I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
