This is a IDW comics story of Transformers, set in a time that no one ever really thought about setting TFs in, this is set in the Industrial Revolution era in the US.

After many battles the Autobots and Decepticons have gone into hibernation underground and stayed that way for millions of years to escape the Ice age, then Bumble Bee awoken and he goes to...

2.0 out of 5 stars Very Poor Addition to the TF Canon
Interesting only for the period-transformations and unique setting, this Transformers book suffers not only from a mediocre plot, but also from a noticable lowering of quality in the artwork halfway through, as the original artist Guido Guidi was overworked, and as such a fill-in artist was employed to finish the book. This is a IDW comics story of Transformers, set in a time that no one ever really thought about setting TFs in, this is set in the Industrial Revolution era in the US.

After many battles the Autobots and Decepticons have gone into hibernation underground and stayed that way for millions of years to escape the Ice age, then Bumble Bee awoken and he goes to investigate what woke him and finds humans building the rail road.

Meantime a human who created the earliest Submarine, after losing his creation to the bottom of the water, unintentionally awakens Shockwave who wakens the other Decepticons and they build a underwater base to start with, yet Starscream is planning something.

This story focuses mostly on BumbleBee as well as Starscream's plan. You won't find Megatron or Optimus prime in this story, their only mentioned by name. If your after a completely fresh approach to TFs then you should get this, its a great story and very nice art as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read, 8 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Transformers: Evolutions - Hearts of Steel: Evolutions Hearts of Steel (Kindle Edition)
I enjoyed this book a great deal. A five star read in my opinion. The transformers in steam punk designs was a refreshing change from all the modern styles that the are associated with. My only wish is that I could.get their next adventure in this era on the kindle.

Rely enjoyed the steam punk design, but felt the ending was a little wanting. Still worth looking at if you enjoy transformers and a great addition to your collection.
