5.0 out of 5 stars Mark III As good as Mark II Live album
What more could any one want ? Deep Purple in their pomp, rarely perfomed material(from Stormbringer) & added to this is the emotionally charged atmosphere of Ritchie Blackmore's final show.
This has it all, & is remixed from orginal source tapes, so it doesn't sound like the band are playing on the phone, or as on Made in Europe (the orginal album this was taped...

3.0 out of 5 stars Have to agree
Have to agree with a lot of the complaints on here about Glenn Hughes.
Not only is he very irritating with his vocal interjections during the songs and his ridiculous announcements between songs but he actually dominates this set to an unusually large degree - you just can't escape him.
Yet his bass playing is pretty good.
And I'm not knocking the bloke for...

Wow! Excellent remaster. I would recommend this to anyone not just Purple fans, even the ones with original release.
Blackmore and Jon Lord (R.I.P.) in steaming hot form.

THIS ALBUMS CONTAINS PLENTY OF REALLY GOOD TRACKS PERFORMED LIVE EVEN IF IT IS DONE IN PARIS BUT IS IT JUST ME OR DO YOU GET THE IMPRESSION THAT THE RECORD COMPANYS ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF US WRINKLIES BECAUSE ALL THESE BANDS AREN'T RELEASING ALBUMS OF THE SAME QUANTITY AND QUALITY AS THEY USED TO SO THEY ARE TURNING TO THE ARCHIVES TO TRY AND FIND SOMETHING OLD THEY CAN REPACKAGE BUT ALL SAID AND DONE I DO LIKE IT WELL APART FROM THE SECOND DISC BEING FOR MOST PART AN INTERVIEW AND NOT MORE TRACKS IS THAT SO THAY CAN CHARGE MORE FOR IT HAVING TWO DISCS OR SO THEY CAN CHAGE US AGAIN WHEN THEY RERELEASE IT WITH MORE TRACKS AS A DIRECTORS CUT

4.0 out of 5 stars yes I agree, Coverdale sang also very well as Gillan, 10 Aug 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Live in Paris 1975 (Audio CD)
Coverdale sang also very well as Gillan did pervious years before. This mark III periode was also a big DP position on stage, where Stormbringer Tour in Paris 1975 was played at that time before Blackmore later left the band in the same year.
The set incl some songs from Burn album, Machine head and Stormbringer album.
But it is one thing you have to know, this double cd set is a re-released from MK III the final concert, that had been already released 5 years ago by conoisseur in England. I guess this rereleased is a big redundancy. If you already owned the MK III final concerts, pls keep away your fingers from this. It wastes only money because the set is the same what you already listened to MK III final concert 1997.
Therefore it has only 3,5 stars for this grand album.
