5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, 25 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Bronson VT 3000 Watt Transformer - EURO Model - Step Up / Step Down Voltage Adapter & Converter (EURO Plug) USA 3000W (Luggage)
After some very positive advice from the seller, I purchased this item, the product I was using on this transformer was a 110 volt canister vacuum cleaner rated at 1200 watts,i chose the 3000 watts so that I was well within the safety zone. The transformer does not get hot and does not smell, very satified.

It does exactly what is expected, no overheating or smell. Important to ensure operation within the power rating of the transformer.

it works as expected. unit does get hot (as expected) and puts off a bit of a smell.
The real test will be to see how it holds up under continuous use.
The load I have it under is around 2000w so about 66% of the rated maximum.
One thing don't expect to run any surge protectors or UPS's off the step down outlet. The surge protectors keep tripping the house circuit breaker (not the one in the converter) and the UPS's are reporting a wiring fault. Haven't figured out what the 'wiring fault' is caused by.
