4.0 out of 5 stars Noize Management
German-born producer/DJ Alexander Ridah delivers one of his most interesting
and persuasively coherent collections with new album 'Out Of The Black'.
He's a bit of a maverick in the fickle world of dance music; unafraid

3.0 out of 5 stars Shame, going backwards
Was really excited about this as love the first 2 albums and other stuff BN have been involved in, but....
For a start it sounds slicker, more commercial (snoop dogg!!) and the beats and sounds are softer. There are some okay tracks but a few skippers to, also a few tracks reuse old daft punk beats and loop old riffs you willl recognise the prodigy using a while ago...

German-born producer/DJ Alexander Ridah delivers one of his most interesting
and persuasively coherent collections with new album 'Out Of The Black'.
He's a bit of a maverick in the fickle world of dance music; unafraid
to mix up genres in a quest for something vibrant and interesting that
might stand out from the mainstream. It is as cerebral as it is visceral.

The inventiveness and variation demonstrated in these twelve new numbers
display big beats aplenty but there is also a shrewd musical imagination
at work here. Nods and winks to the past are contrasted cleverly with
material of a far more experimental nature but never losing sight of the
desire to make us dislocate our bones and sweat like pigs on the dancefloor!

'Chonchord' is an especially satisfying confection, its brash dark chords
buoyed-along on the back of a fiendishly aggressive percussive foundation;
'Reality', too, delivers a massive four-to-the floor riff of almost devilish
intensity; 'XTC', on the other is a perfectly jolly little slice of almost
funky mayhem which builds to a gloriously addictive and slightly daft robotic
climax; the dubby staccato jolt and judder of 'Circus Full Of Clowns' frames
a sturdy piece of potty-mouthed rap from one Mr Gizzle and Snoop Dogg makes
a terribly rude but unintentionally funny appearance on final track 'Got It',
spouting some fierce braggadocio atop one of Mr Ridha's dirtiest arrangements.

Warn the neighbours and play it loud!

Recommended.

Was really excited about this as love the first 2 albums and other stuff BN have been involved in, but....
For a start it sounds slicker, more commercial (snoop dogg!!) and the beats and sounds are softer. There are some okay tracks but a few skippers to, also a few tracks reuse old daft punk beats and loop old riffs you willl recognise the prodigy using a while ago (girls), all sounds a bit lazy and I was really hoping for a little progression, still its boys noize so better than most just dissapointing after the last 2 excellent albums, deadmou5 and now boys noize have let me down with there latest, here hoping the new Vitalic album is something special!!
