5.0 out of 5 stars Innovative
Really nicely designed with no screws to contend with. There are no instructions, but taking the time to figure out what goes where and with the pieces corrected orientated it didn't take long to put together. There is some movement but nothing to worry about. Very impressed overall.

3.0 out of 5 stars So-so!
This box would be a five star if I was able to get it to fit my PI with its GPIO connector fitted. There is a slot for the GPIO cable to exit from but it is at the wrong height for MY particular IDC header so doesn't work.

Given 3 starts as other headers might work OK.

Upon receiving this item I have to admit, I was a little concerned. Everything was contained in a pretty flat jiffy bag, leading me to wonder where the case was. In fact, it turns out this is a flat-pack case you need to assemble around the PI.

Assembling the case proved to be a little problematic as the only instructions provided were "1) Hooks, 2) Click!". My first attempt was a complete failure, and combined with the smell you'd get when creating an acrylics project I was starting to wonder if I had accidentally purchased a students failed Raspberry PI case. Thankfully though after reviewing the orientation of the pieces it turns out I had simply assembled it incorrectly, and my second attempt ended in success.

In terms of protecting the PI from impact damage and pets, this does a pretty good job. The case itself relies on the USB port, composite port, and the sound jack in order for the board not to freely move around inside. Though if you turn the case upside down the PI will move a little bit so it's not 100% tight. Aesthetically while all the ports line up with the cutouts on the case, some of the gaps around the ports seem a bit bigger than they need to be, though considering this is a clear case it's not too much to worry about.

To conclude: if you want a case for you PI so you don't have to risk damaging the board when handling it all the time, this pretty much fits the bill. My only major issue is the lack of useful instructions on assembly.

In my opinion, the best case setup for the PI - if you need a simple good value case for your PI, look no further :)

When it came each panel was covered with a blue film and I thought I'd been shipped the wrong thing. Pick at the edges to peel the film away and you get a really nice clear plastic panel. A little tricky to assemble as the plastic is quite brittle. I snapped one catch but the rest hold it together really well. Holes match up and for the price it keeps my pi safe

Came flat packed without instructions. Easy to figure what goes where.
The little clips and lugs are very flimsy its to easy to snap them when constructing it around the RPI.
Ive got tape holding mine together.
If it wasn`t cheap I would of marked it less stars.

Just gets 3 stars, because a) its a bit flimsy when taking out of the case, kind of have to pull apart the front wall and one side.

b) the plastic clips that hold the case together chipped a bit on first assembly ( probably because I forced it too much) -but all it takes is a bit of practice. Still holds together perfectly since only chipped 2 of 8 of them.

Other than that it looks good and is a fairly snug fit.

2.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy, 31 Jan 2014

Looks simple enough, but is difficult to fit and very flimsy. You are required to push fit around the Pi and then the end pieces clip on and hold the thing together. Unfortunately one of the clips snapped off straight away, and as I was disassembling it in order to bin it, two of the little plastic hooks sheared off with very little force, leaving just plastic stumps.

I wish I could say it was because of my own heavy handedness but I believe the product is just low quality (perhaps explaining why it's cheaper than all the other Pi cases).

Perfect lightweight case to protect the Pi. A little fiddly to put together, I'm a bit 'ham fisted', but easily done in the end. The only issue I had is that there is little clearance for the GPIO cable to pass out through its slot & you must feed it through the slot before completing the case.

For the money it's a good case. It does come flat packed but it's easy to put together. It's not as snug a fit as I was expecting, all the panels have a bit of movement to then. However, it is robust enough and will protect the pi, which is all it needs to do.
