Perhaps it is not too difficult to find significant six albums in a career spanning over 40 releases - especially when it comes to the Pele of African music. But the selection of Ginger Baker, ambassador of juju music, is beyond reproach. From the live album from 1971, when the world began to discover what was happening in Nigeria, even the most political albums that followed (especially Confusion and Alagbon Close), not counting the inseparable reference to sex (Na Poi) and marijuana this box is a rare panorama shaped vinyl of all musical and cultural wealth that poor and violent Lagos had to offer in the 1970s. Just ask Paul McCartney, Bob Marley, Gilberto Gil...
