For anyone who discovered Bob Lind back in the 1960s, freaked out totally, and then despaired of hearing anything more of him after he dropped out of the music scene (it's 41 years since his last studio album!), fear not,you have found him again.

Production: wonderful.

Playing (Lind and others): wonderful.

The songs: Don't expect to hear something sounding just like his albums from the late 1960s, the ones that carried songs like Elusive Butterfly and Remember the Rain. He was in his 20s then, he's in his 60s now so naturally the music shows more maturity, the lyrics even more so. There are no "killer" songs here like Elusive Butterfly (though How the Nights Can Fly comes close); what you get however is an album of mostly excellent songs. There are a couple that I find a little saccharine - "Exeter" and "Someone To Adore" - but overall the standard is high, and with a surprising amount of light and shade. The moody contemplative side, represented by "Maybe It's the Rain", "How the Nights Can Fly" and "Perspective", is counterbalanced by genuine rockers like "How Dare You Love Me", "Somewhere In This City" and "Let It Go".

If you are already a Lind fan, this will not disappoint. If you are new to Lind, but have a liking for pop/rock with a folk-tinged edge, you will likely enjoy this anyway - and in that case also check out his back catalogue.

Bob Lind is such an honest singer-songwriter. Not for him the la la of so many songs around today. He opens his heart and tells it like it is. I'd go as far as saying this is his finest album, every track finely crafted and beautifully produced by Jamie Hoover. And Bob's voice... he still sounds and sings like a 21-year-old... buy it now, you'll not be disappointed.
