4.0 out of 5 stars oil drainer
Purchased for a friend who has motorbikes. He sais it looks the part and low enough to slide under the engine on his modern and classic bikes. Good capacity

3.0 out of 5 stars No air vent!
Doesn't have an air vent plug! I thought this would be common sense. The main cap could be loosened for the initial rush of oil but could risk it spilling out. Or you could put a bendy straw in the drain pan.... Fingers crossed this won't be an issue.
Other than that, good quality and big enough for most engines

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Car Plan: same as Britool Expert and KS tools (but cheaper), 26 Jan. 2015

I bought the 'Car plan' oil drain can for myself. It is good, but the quality 'could be better'. So I bought this (for a friend/mechanic) as a present.

It does the same job as the car plan one but is clearly a bit better quality. Plug threads are better and there is storage space for the plug whilst draining. If I had my life again I would buy this one for myself! (nothing wrong with mine: this is just nicer).

This is also EXACTLY the same as the Britool Expert and KS tools branded ones (but cheaper as it says Draper). If you're a tool snob: take the sticker off (say it got wrecked through so much use) and no one will ever know it once said "Draper".

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good peice of kit for regular oil changes, no leaks, light and strong, 15 Jun. 2014

As long as you have a roll of kitchen paper to wipe up excess oil on the drip tray this drainer is perfect for interval oil changes on a 6 month basis, just take the oil to your local council refuge site and empty it there :), using this and genuine parts saves a fortune on dealer prices.

5.0 out of 5 stars Drain away, 30 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)

Fits nicely under a Honda CBR500R, which is a faired motorbike. Catches the oil well. Like others have said, cleaning the drain pan area can be a bit of a pain, especially as there is a recessed narrow trough round the edge. Also when the oil initially starts draining into the hole at the centre of the pan, some of it spatters back up as the pressure equalises between the filling drainer and external air.
O-ring sealed caps appear to stop any leaks once oil has been collected inside. This drainer makes oil changes a lot easier.

Drainer is what a drainer is! No more spills on the garage floor! Should have purchased one years ago and saved a lot of mess.

I thought it would a be a tougher build and larger. To be honest. I has one like this, cheaper with two holes and better quality from a competitor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great catch!, 8 Mar. 2015

Spot on, couldn't ask for more. Has a good deep recess for the oil to be caught in and a little storage place for the cap that goes in the catch hole so you don't loose it. Both caps have rubber seals to keep it all in. Good capacity at a great price.

2.0 out of 5 stars Oil everywhere..., 23 Jan. 2015

Theres no breather hole? So when I pulled the sump plug the funnel tray very quickly filled and the air trying to escape back out blows oil up and splashes everywhere, stupid design, not impressed
