I have an issue with how far back the dial is in the case...
on 14 January 2016
The clock face is set quite well back and so I found both outside light and the overhead light did a bad job of illuminating it (the room's about 11' across, the ceiling light is in the centre). If the face had been white you might have got away with it, but it's pretty grey-ish in low light levels.
The seconds hand advances in one-second jumps (as is common on quartz clocks, although some have sweep second hands) and can be heard clicking from around 1.5m away in a quiet room.
It is nicely made from metal and glass though, with a matching coloured cover for the (I assume) generic mechanism at the back. Mine came with an AA battery already fitted (with a paper tab stopping it running).
I sent it back as it was just too hard to read with how the room lighting was arranged. With different lighting others' experiences could be much more positive.
