3.0 out of 5 stars Non-academic.
I bought this for research for a possible novel. Good on facts and figures, lots of colourful pictures. It is a non-academical book more suited to a superficial study than serious research. I could have got all the information gleaned from this book on the internet but would make an ideal present for a child with an interest in history.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book!! So beautifully written- portrays the intriguing story of Knights Templar in a whole new light., 30 Dec 2009

I was bought this book as a Christmas present from a fellow history enthusiast. Read it before the day was over as couldn't put it down!

Susie Hodge paints the picture of this fascinating period in a beautiful and compelling way. The pictures within the text are the perfect compliment to the author's well researched content. I discovered new perspecitves into topics I had never before questioned, and would thoroughly recommend this book to a friend (and have!)
