4.0 out of 5 stars Markus Schulz - Scream (James Album review)
'An absolutely amazing and really stunning album from start to finish, with very lush, polished vocals throughout each track and quality thumping basslines & riffs'.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor compared to his Do You Dream? album
It's amazing how far someone can fall in a year. Just like every other former trance producer and DJ, Markus has moved from his own dark synth sounds to the trouse/electro sound for a bigger wage slip by trying to appeal to the house fans, compared to Do You Dream which was a 4/5 for me, it's a huge step down, it's all been dropped in favour of the quantity over quality...

It's amazing how far someone can fall in a year. Just like every other former trance producer and DJ, Markus has moved from his own dark synth sounds to the trouse/electro sound for a bigger wage slip by trying to appeal to the house fans, compared to Do You Dream which was a 4/5 for me, it's a huge step down, it's all been dropped in favour of the quantity over quality concept, there's to much cheesy sound in this album and all creativity has gone out of the window, some tracks sound to housey and others sound like they belong on a Gameboy Color, I hate giving bad reviews on music because there shouldn't be any music like this labelled as trance, but there is so it gets a negative review because it sounds terrible compared to real trance, I hope Markus books his ideas up for his future productions and stops brainwashing his fans with this way below par release.

2.0 out of 5 stars A sell out - going down the same road as Tiesto (unfortunately), 11 April 2013
This review is from: Scream (Audio CD)
I agree with the previous reviewer. This is aimed at the house crowd. It is such a shame because trance is becoming more popular these days. I hope that this is an experiment for Marcus and he returns to his roots in his next album. He is a great producer and DJ after all!

I wasn't too sure about this CD when I first played it. However, after a few listens, my opinion changed and I feel that this is a truly amazing CD which has now become one of my favourites. Lovely vocals and fantastic melodies, which send you on an emotional journey. Excellent from start to finish. If you like vocal trance, then I would highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 23 Sep 2012
This review is from: Scream (Audio CD)
After falling out of love with the trance scene over the past year or so, I was fortunate to be at the SW4 Festival, where I was again fortunate to spend an hour in one of the tents, whilst Markus weaved his magic......... I can assure you, that he singal handedly rekindled my love for trance. This cd just adds further tetament to that fact. Its a work of art and every trance lover should invest. Pure quality!!
