5.0 out of 5 stars Classic text book
Used this alongside some of the bigger books. Good before exams and when starting a new topic to get an overview

3.0 out of 5 stars Good coverage of clinical medicine but could have been improved
To cover clinical medicine in a single textbook is not an easy undertaking with many texts ending up into the thousands of pages, even those aimed at medical students such as K&C and Davidsons are still over a 1,000 pages. This text however is successfully able to meet this need being <400 pages in length, it can not be said to be comprehensive and an all-in-one...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good coverage of clinical medicine but could have been improved, 21 Jan 2014
To cover clinical medicine in a single textbook is not an easy undertaking with many texts ending up into the thousands of pages, even those aimed at medical students such as K&C and Davidsons are still over a 1,000 pages. This text however is successfully able to meet this need being <400 pages in length, it can not be said to be comprehensive and an all-in-one solution but if you understood the majority of the content of this title it'd stand you in very good stead for your medical school finals exams.

The disadvantage of this text I feel is that unlike other recent releases in the LN series, this title does not include online resources such as self-assessment questions and downloadable images.

In conclusion this title would be worth considering getting if you find the LN series style to fit your learning best, however if you are looking for a general medicine textbook then a text such as Davidson's or Kumar and Clark would be a better (though more expensive) investment, if a revision title then why not try Medicine at a Glance?

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book, 20 Jun 2013

Good layout and covers a wide range of medical conditions - if you like other books in the Lecture Notes series, you'll find it just as good. It won't replace my OHCM but is a good resource to use alongisde it. Great for medical students and trainees.
