4.0 out of 5 stars Small and inexpensive - ideal for today's general PC needs
Ever since Microsoft launched Windows 8, I knew it wasn't for me - and the future of computing has changed (almost overnight, it seems). And far from offering more choice, with Windows 8 came "either use it or don't". No cheaper, Windows 7 machines to be found on shop floors and increasingly hard to find a good spec machine running the better operating system...

2.0 out of 5 stars Good size, poor pc
Firstly, the delivery time was completely wrong. I was told it would come a certain day, so had to take the day off work, and it didn't come until the day after which was very frustrating.
The pc itself is a very good size, fits on my desk as if it were an external hard drive.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good size, poor pc, 7 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Lenovo Q180 Ultra Small Form Factor (USFF) Desktop PC - Black (Intel Atom D2550 1.86GHz, 4Gb RAM, 750Gb HDD, DVDRW, LAN, WLAN, AMD Graphics, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) (Personal Computers)

The pc itself is a very good size, fits on my desk as if it were an external hard drive.
However, performance wise it is not very fast, and blue screens far too often, as it cannot handle too much at once.
Also, sometimes when programmes are installed, for completely unknown reasons they either don't work or perform quite poorly or crash for no reason.

2.0 out of 5 stars Lenova Q180 Desktop PC, 10 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Lenovo Q180 Ultra Small Form Factor (USFF) Desktop PC - Black (Intel Atom D2550 1.86GHz, 4Gb RAM, 750Gb HDD, DVDRW, LAN, WLAN, AMD Graphics, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) (Personal Computers)
In spite of detailed descriptions it is very difficult to determine if this item met my specification requirement. The indication was that it included a DVD drive and an ethernet socket. Neither of these items functioned so whether this is a fault with this specific item or a misunderstanding in reading the specification I do not know. Other aspects of the PC appeared to work well and it was a particular relief to see this item with Windows 7 rather than 8.Overall it would have been fine at that price if it had included a working ethernet socket and DVD drive, but it did not so it had to be returned.

Delivery was on time and the courier was polite and helpful as usual. The item appeared Sat 8 June, but the courier tracking always told me that it was not going to arrive until Tue 11 June, it was therefore a surprise to see it delivered on 8 June luckily I was in at that time - more accurate tracking information would be most welcome.

1.0 out of 5 stars Lenovo Q180 Ultra Small, 12 Dec. 2012

This review is from: Lenovo Q180 Ultra Small Form Factor (USFF) Desktop PC - Black (Intel Atom D2550 1.86GHz, 4Gb RAM, 750Gb HDD, DVDRW, LAN, WLAN, AMD Graphics, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) (Personal Computers)
I Purchased the Lenovo Q180 for a Xmas present 2012 , When I Started to set it up the first thing i noticed was the DVD/CD drive "DID NOT" accept any DVD/CD devises, I tried 5 or 6 times by rebooting and still the CD drive did not work, The quality of film playback leaves a lot to be desired, Ive had to send it back and the return policy says I may have to wait 4 weeks for a refund, That's not good as it was meant to be a Xmas present.
