This book is a treasure chest of information. It is well researched, well-structured and easy to read. As stated in the introduction, this book is for anyone interested in growing their own supply of carrots. It tells you everything there is to know: about soils, fertilizers, about growing carrots indoors and outdoors and a lot more. There are red, purple, yellow and white carrots: Yaya, Napoli, Parisian, Parmex and many other types of carrots. Did you know that there is an Atomic Red Carrot? I quote: "This carrot gets its red colouring from Lycopene, the same cancer-preventing antioxidant found in tomatoes." Whether you are an inexperienced or an experienced gardener, this is a useful and a beautiful book. There is an invaluable chapter about nutritional facts, and there is a very helpful chapter about resources. I do recommend this book.
