This concise prayer book in today's English contains all the basic essential daily and weekly prayers for the lay orthodox christian. The publishers have made it easy to use, with a good navegable contents menu, and clear, unfussy phrasing. I trialed certain other budget prayer books, and this was of a superior quality.

This is by far a better option than the much cheaper Orthodox Prayer Book which has poor navegability, and confusing, bizarre and unnatural phrasing in the verses. It's worth a few dollars more to get a bit of quality.

Kindle editions review.

Downloaded this because of the price. Took a browse out of interest and discovered it is a useful aid to prayer. Morning and evening prayers with additional ones just as you need them. An excellent tool in Lent particularly. Having another encouragement to pray can only be a good thing.

Just the right amount for morning and evening prayers without being too wordy. Good use of modern English. One of the better small Orthodox prayer books.

I have bought this book as a kindle edition and I am seriously thinking about buying the hardcopy version as well. I like the prayers and the way they are set out. I generally prefer the prayers to be in old English personally, but the modern version in the book, does not detract from it. This was my first Orthodox prayer book, I have now moved on to a different one where the services are there in full. However, when I do not have time to read the full services I still come back to this one.

The prayers are similar to that I had learnt in my childhood. The language is easy to understand, the richness of the prayers are apparent in this translation. I wish I had this book as a paperback.
Thank you, definitely recommended.

An interesting resource, alongside some Celtic material I also have.
