5.0 out of 5 stars Great little guide to Cornwall, 19 July 2012
This review is from: Wet Britain Cornwall: weatherproof your holidays (Kindle Edition)
One of the best things about the Kindle is that you can find specialist guides like this that you can never find in print. The author has written many guidebooks and won all kinds of awards for his travel writing, and this time he's published his own guide - to what to do when it rains in Cornwall. Apparently there are more coming in the series. They'd have sold well in the UK in summer 2012, that's for sure!

The book begins with the top ten things to do when it's wet, including The Eden Project, the National Maritime Museum, and the Tate in St Ives. They're all wonderful places, wet or dry. But there's much more packed into the book than that - where to find all the cinemas in Cornwall, for example, and the theatres, and indoor leisure centres (so you can go swimming even when it's raining).

The book also tells you where all the tourist information centres are, and all the surfing schools (rain never puts off the surfers). Museums are in hedre too, and art galleries, and everything the author has been able to find to do when it's wet in Cornwall. I liked the recommendation of books to read, too. The guide is aimed more at families, but anyone will find it useful. Given that it costs less than an umbrella, I'd definitely recommend anyone pack it on their Kindle if they're going to Cornwall.
