Not at all stable - liable to tip over!
on 5 May 2013
Bought this trike last Autumn when it was on offer but only just put it together now that the weather is better and my daughter is 10 months old.
Took me AGES to put together as the holes don't line up very well, but I thought the time taken was worth it when I saw how much my little girl loved it.
Used it a few times and on one occasion found that you have to be very careful going up even the smallest curbs as the trike could easily have gone over.
Was just outside our house a couple of days ago and let go of the parent handle to get something out of my bag. I had let go for about 10-15 seconds when the trike suddenly tipped over, I guess my daughter had leaned over a little too much or something as it went over forwards and she hit her head. It was so awful trying to get her out of the trike whilst it was tipped over, she was crying and I was panicking but - thank God - she only has a small graze on her forehead. This was on a completely flat, level surface, btw.
My daughter absolutely loves this trike but I just can't bring myself to use it any more and am waiting for Amazon to say if they'll allow me to return it.
Since this happened I have looked around on Google and found many others have also had the trike tip over, so just wanted to warn others who may be looking to buy for their little ones.
If anyone reading this could recommend a similar push along toy that is more stable I would really appreciate it, thanks x
