I always purchase Lemar albums regardless because I love his voice and he is a consistent artist. But he is vastly underrated and largely ignored by the British press. Because he is not 'obviously' urban they have found it hard to pigeon hole him And this time on his fifth studio album they will have real difficulty because in so many ways it is a completely differnt sound than anything he has done before. The only link is his smooth, warm comforting vocals which he uses in new ways on this set. Some might find the sound MoR but I think they would be missing the point. Its just as an artist he has matured. Highlights come in the middle Hurricane, Merrygo Round Can't let go are great tracks. The fragile heartfelt duet with Shaugnessy is so tender but sounding nothing like Lemar has done before almost country sounding and very poetic. Its magical. But the album tails off towards the end and comes a bit bland and samey. But nonetheless an album worth buying. Great travelling music or late night listening. Lemar deserves a wider audience. His voice tends to get all the attention but lyrically he is great as well.

Uplifting music, which reminds me of the early days of Seal.
The only downside for me is that there aren't enough Songs.
I've been listening to this album for the fourth straight time, and it gets better with every replay.
Lemar is so underrated its unbelievable. So much talent, his vocal range is incredible.
Give it a listen people!!!
Luv It!

It's very nearly four years since we last heard from Lemar.
I had a big soft spot for his 2008 album 'The Reason' and
find every good reason to stand by him with his new offering
'Invincible'. In may ways it is his most coherent work so-far.

It's a largely upbeat affair: big fat sound, strong tunes and his
fine voice as rich and focused as ever. Stuff to make you feel good.

The first three tracks in the collection of eleven are real stormers.
The energy stays high and the mood is both positive and uplifting.
'The First Time' has more than a whiff of U2 about it ('I Still Don't
Know What I'm Looking For' came to mind and nothing wrong with that).
The voice rides along splendidly on a wave of driving percussion and
jangling guitar. A fine song and a powerful vocal performance. Title
track 'Invincible' and 'Keep On Luvin', which follow, keep the energy
high; the former an especially emotionally affecting invention. When
the pace relaxes, as it does with the simple but beautifully managed
acoustic ballad 'Into The Night Sky', Lemar's voice shows evidence of
growth and greater maturity in his lower register. A lovely little tune.
With the final song 'Born To Love', a tender but somewhat melancholy
confection, he demonstrates his soul credentials with convincing aplomb.

All-in-all a convincing and thoroughly enjoyable album which deserves
to find him many new friends. Fame Academy seems such a long time ago ...

Highly Recommended.

Well after a break Lemar is back and as strong as ever. This album is beautiful (and yes the track of that name is just that 'beautiful'). This album sweeps across many different genres and is not as blatantly an R&B sound as his previous fantastic offerings. This collection is very much guitar led and if I dare say it very much a Coldplay twist with a smattering of soul thrown in and by God it works so well.

I love Lemar and his soulful voice, each song is from the heart. I cannot champion this album enough because to me it is perfect. This is a truly heartwarming affair and leaves you happy in the knowledge that there are still very much artists with oodles of talent of their own nurturing and sheer hardwork out there.

This album should be in everyone's collection in my humble opinion.

Lemar is back! This album marks a new chapter, whilst his back catologue is of course brilliant, this is easily the best record he has ever made. A variety of sounds, with tracks like 'Invincible'& 'The First Time' he has the ability to make you want to dance & sing your head off. Then all of a sudden with 'Merry go Round' and 'Born to Love' it feels like he is playing a pizzicato on your heart strings making you mourn for a lost love. Lemar is underated as an artist, but the man has seen off any pretenders to his throne and with this album he remains the undeniable King of UK soul.

This album is a must for your collection. Lemar is now back with his 6th album after taking some time out which i think is by far his best. From songs to get you moving and grooving to songs that are deep and meaningful that you can relate to ..they have been written so beautifully. Lemar is so underated and hopefully he will get the recognition he deserves with this beautiful album.

A great album. It's taken me a few listens through to really get into it but now I am... it's great! Slightly different feel to his previous albums (that I also have) but I like the variation in the songs and the different styles. Lemar's voice is what shines through.

I bought this for my daughter`s 50th Birthday, and she was thrilled. We both enjoy his songs, and it has been played in the car ever since it was given, and downloaded for easy access everywhere. Lovely voice.
