3.0 out of 5 stars Subdued but still holds the attention, 30 Mar. 2013
This review is from: Teddy Bear [DVD] [2012] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] (DVD)
Teddy Bear is the story of a Danish bodybuilder battling for independence from his selfish, over-protective mother whom he still resides with. She has clearly been the only woman in his life. He lovingly understands her disposition, but realises now that at 38 years old, he must become his own man in the world and live his own life - a little.

The physical evidence of him shows how much success and devotion he has attributed to his passion of bodybuilding up till now but this has clearly been to the huge detriment of other social factors people naturally develop from youth. So much so, that he still seemingly has his virginity.

It's a touching little film focused around all the nuances of emotion present through people interaction - something which European film does the best. The physical bearing and constant presence of the protagonist somehow keeps the delicate issues this film deals with interesting to watch.
