5.0 out of 5 stars A Tribute to Scriabin - leave the ground and float above it, 9 Dec. 2012
This review is from: A Tribute to Scriabin (Audio CD)
This is a very neat collection of Scriabin piano works. Scriabin was an interesting composer and had ideas about music being able to redeem the world and some feel his music is addictive. Certainly it seems to drift gently over the surface although not dreamy as there is too much going on inside. Certainly this disc gives a good coverage of his piano output in chronological order. For those who are fans then this will be very enjoyable and for those not yet familiar with Scriabin then this disc is an ideal starting place covering his life. Highlight for me is Prelude Op.16 No.3 which is in G flat major(so six flats)which is not uncommon for the composer.
