Super article by Packer. Enough to stir the reader to further investigate this key doctrinal framework for grasping the message of salvation.

J.I. Packer needs no introduction or further commendation from me; he is a world-renowned Bible scholar, teacher, preacher, theologian, and authority on New Testament Greek. All of this shows in this slim volume about covenantal theology. Packer is never a light read and this book (essay) demands thought and a reasonable knowledge of theological terms. It is not a beginners' book, but it is rewarding. His point is that covenantal theology overarches the whole of Biblical history and teaching. It is fundamental to understanding who God is, what he has done through the ages and what he is still doing. The Christian gospel itself is a part of God's (new) covenant relationship with man. For a reader with background knowledge, who is willing to dig deeper and learn more this is very worthwhile read. For such a cheap kindle price you will never learn more for less.

This very good introduction might be downloaded from the internet (to MS Word)for free, and then sent via email to one's Kindle. Maybe I'm a canny old Scot, but mony a meikle maks a muckle.
