5.0 out of 5 stars The best edition of the greatest English comic novel, 5 Nov 2009

This Modern Library edition is surely one of the best bargains ever, presenting as it does the definitive (and very expensive ) Wesleyan edition with all its massive annotation. Puts ALL other editions to shame!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, 28 July 2014
I loved reading this book! I did not feel that it ever dragged; the style was quite delightful, and the story engaging.
I will re-read this book.
My partner was reading the Oxford Classics Edition at the same time and I was surprised to see that they had modernised the spelling and punctuation. Some people might prefer that but if I'm reading a 17th century book I want it to feel that old and thus I would recommend the Penguin Classics or Modern Library edition (although I actually found the notes in the Modern Library edition too much).
