I cannot fault the seller, delivery was excellent but this thing is poorly built!! It took my 17 months old son a day to figure out that if you pull on it hard enough it opens without pressing the grey clips. May I stress the point he's 17 MONTHS!! Very disappointed. Maybe I had the hard luck and got 2 defective ones but I couldn't be bother to contact the seller to return it because it wasn't that expensive. If you've got a very clever and active child I wouldn't recommend this product. If its to keep out someone with no strength then go for it.

The plates that connect the locking strap have slef adhesive pads, which made mounting them easy. The kit comes supplied with screws, which I used as well to fix the plates to wood doors. Having the plates stuck in place made this easy. The lock requires a good degree of pressure to open it, which is what I was after as I don't want children getting past it.

All in all, well constructed, easy to install and I'd buy again.

This fridge lock has totally sorted out the problem of the cats learning how to open the fridge in the middle of a blisteringly hot North African summer - something they did at least once a day, partially for grazing rights, partially for enjoying the cool of the fridge - without learning to shut the door behind them! This has solved the problem - although the adhesive can be a bit flimsy - in general though, it totally works.

Simple to install and strong enough to keep a young child out but not a hinderence to an older child.

My son is a nightmare for cupboards and draws but they've outwitted him no end, after 5 months they're still good as new. Really pleased

When your 1 year old can open these locks by pulling the fridge door there is a problem. I bought these thinking they would be good, but they are the worse locks i have had

Very easy to install, and quite easy to open and close, unlike some other locks we have bought. They've lasted quite a while and my little girl can't open them (yet!).

Tried this on different surfaces but was easy to pull off every time so not really what I would call a baby safety product.

These work very well for our purpose; keeping a curious toddler from opening the built in washing machine cupboard. It's was ridiculously easy to attach (peel, stick & click). I thought it would only work on corner cupboards (b'cos of the photo -- doh!). But it works equally well on side by side cupboards. I personally don't find it a pain to unclip when I need access to the cupboard content. I plan to buy more as I prefer this to the ones you have to screw into your kitchen units (who would want to do that!). My 15 month old is very strong and a determined little chap when he sets his mind to something and he's not been able to pull this off the cupboard. Who knows if he ever will but since the surface is relativity flat I don't think he can grip easily and pull it off.

I'm holding back a star b'cos I don't know if the sticky pad will damage my unit when the time comes to take it off and that won't be for a good few years if my sons curiosity hold up.

Having 2 boys under 3 in the kitchen my fridge/freezer had several times the door left open as our little one are very good at opening them. The fridge stopped to work and had to get a contractor on site.

He removed an iceberg from it ( it was meant to be a non freeze fridge/freeze) and told me that those fridges tend to create ice due to the lack of air circulation within the fridge and the best way to keep them on without to remove the ice was to reduce the level of water getting in (e.g.: veggies to be kept in plastic bags and door to remain close to avoid to much air to get in)...

Door are now locked problem is solved ;)

It will take you several go to get into the habit of unlocking it. Also it can be unlocked with one hand only with a bit of practice.
