The actual battle sequences are good and exciting and engaged me completely. The graphic novel type story line was a bit unexpected and I associate with cheaper games. Whilst good it is not up to Namco in quality.

I have recently played the PC Heroes of the Pacific and in storyline and gameplay that and Damage inc. are nearly identical-the latter game has fewer aircraft but does throw in an excursion to the Aleutian Islands.A console version of H.O.T.P. was also available a few years back.
Damage inc. is clearly aimed at a wider audience than the hard core air combat fans, the game is extremely forgiving;medals earned are yours to keep even if you die straight afterwards before a checkpoint/health regeneration after a death is generous/damage taken from all enemies is minimal/boss-ace duals are nowhere near as difficult as many games of this type.
You earn aircraft and upgrade points as you progress through the game and most aircraft have a `good feel' to them (except the Dauntless= nearly useless),I certainly was never wanting for these points and even playing on Ace progressed smoothly to the end.
Graphics should be a tad better for a game of this age and the delivery of the story is rather flatly realised. However this game is now pennies compared to its launch price-I paid £7.20 for
what was a £40 game(minus the joysick!) and because some objectives on some missions have no time limit you can merrily down jap after spawning jap.
Overall a good value piece of entertainment but hardcore fighter pilots may want to look elsewhere for real challenges.

Amazing graphics and simulaition effects only bad thing was that there is no one on Xbox live who plays it much so no point of multiplayer!

Ive never played a more buggy game than this in my life, i mean that, sometimes i find halfway through a mission when a cutscene appears my plane and sound has completely dissapeared and the mission becomes unfinishable, even reloading checkpoints wont help, BUT having said that when it does work its great fun for ww2 nut like me, the planes are easy to fly, some good action and lengthy missions. But had to knock of a star for those bugs.

The game is fine..... Its a game i am certain my love will enjoy. The only issue was the packaging as the case was shattered on delivery. Thankfully the game was intact and as its a christmas gift i will settle for shattered case.

A bit disappointed with this game it is so similar to heroes of the pacific. Wouldn't particularly recommend it to anyone else.

My son purchased this with his Birthday money and is very pleased! He's bonkers about planes at the moment, present and historic. This is a fabulous game for him to play, either alone or with Dad or Brothers etc. Excellent!
