Albums like this are rare to find on CD. Usually they are released only in Japan on expensive imports and go out of print quickly. So, to be able to buy this at all is a blessing. Judging the release as a whole it's excellent. However, there is one gripe I have which is that I really wanted the single version of "Just Can't Give You Up" which is a superb 2:54 edit that really packs a punch (the intro is shortened to 1:09 before the vocal starts and the ending is cold). Although it says on the inlay that the "single version" is included here, what you actually get is the USA single version which runs to 4:11 (with a 2:28 intro before the vocal starts and a fade out that sounds too early due to the long instrumental intro), so it is more like the album version faded and feels unsatisfying. So that was a huge disappointment. Big Break Records are usually thorough in their research, but on this occasion I feel they missed something. There is plenty of room on the disc to have included both edits and because this is a UK release I would have expected the UK single version. For this reason I docked one star. But as I say, on the whole, we are lucky to be able to get this at all and it's definitely worth buying. The sound quality is superb and the rest of the selection is a comprehensive round-up of bonus 12" and 7" mixes from this period.

Amazon's track list is wrong. So here is the correct listing:
1. Burned To Learn
2. Don t You Want To Be A Star
3. Dreams
4. Can t Stop Dancing (No Matter What I Do)
5. Dark Side Of Your Love
6. Got To Make The Best (Of A Love Situation)
7. Just Can t Give You Up
Bonus tracks:
8. Burned To Learn (single Version)
9. Got To Make The Best (Of A Love Situation) (12" Disco Remix)
10. Just Can t Give You Up (*single Version) (*Note - USA 7" version, not the UK 7" version)
11. Can t Stop Dancing (No Matter What I Do) (single Version)

The album versions of "Just Can't Give You Up" & "Burned To Learn" are the same as the 12" versions.

What a great album, brought back so many great memories of clubbing in the 80s, would definitely recommend to anyone who loves soul weekenders.
