This review is from: UK Post-Punk: Faber Forty-Fives: 1977?1982 (Kindle Edition)
Good basic history of this period in music. However like any book of this type it is a subjective view. The author provides a great narrative for the bands like PIL and The Slits which he seems to be a fan of, but dismisses or ignores the likes of Killing Joke or Young Marble Giants who should surely form part of the discussion of this era of Music. He also devotes a chapter to Ska/Two Tone, which is music I love but I have never seen as being part of post punk?!
