5.0 out of 5 stars legend building
Joe is building his legend, little by little, always with a surprise. He had an incredible 2011 with his solo, Beth Hart duet, and Black Country Communion super-group CDs. In 2012 he has already issued one of the best music videos ever (I think) - the New York concert - and now we are treated with this fantastic album. I have all his albums and this is in my opinion his...

Didn't enjoy this as much as dust bowl which I love. After seeing joe perform live I just felt that this didn't really come up to scratch. Sorry

I now own 3 Joe Bonamassa CD's and love them all for quite different reasons.

This CD is more bluesy that the previous ones which were more rock orientated.

Driving Towards The Daylight shows how Joe B. is fast becoming a guitar legend in his own right. Certainly to me he ranks in the upper class of guitar maestro's. A fine album of brilliant music.

1.0 out of 5 stars don't mean a thing, 29 Jun 2012

I always remember my first guitar tutor book way back in the early 70's by Dan Morgan . Right up front he says - " look , what the world doesn't need is another guitar solo " . Wise words . There has to be something more , and for me , this guy doesn't have it . Its just twiddling . I am pushed to write a review as some people keep telling me how great he is , and that I should listen . There are so many performers who deserve the attention JB is getting . This is not what blues is about .
