Bought this book for my tomboy niece on the basis that the combination of young female protagonist and F1 cars might be a hit. Gave it the quick once over and ended up reading the whole thing. Very good effort for the author's first foray into the field. Hardcore F1 fans may scoff here and there but not as often as you might initially think from the set up (American girl lands a place on an F1 team) but then they are not the demographic this is aimed at and the story adheres to it's own internal logic. The writer does a good job of his first person 17-year-old girl, and there is plenty of character-based drama to keep you going to an end that is both surprising and satisfying. Good positive message for young girls - don't let anyone tell you what you can and can't do - and niece gave it a thumbs up three days after she got it and asked if there was anything else available by the same author - it appears for the time being there is not. If I were going to mark it down for anything, would suggest that the author needs to find himself a new proof-reader. Other than that though, give it a go - it's a good read.

As a not so young adult I wasn't sure this book would be my cup of tea, however I couldn't put it down! I really sympathized with Samantha's efforts to be a racing driver and a normal healthy teenager. The races were interesting and exciting. All in all a great read.

Being a girl, I'm not interested in car racing but this book totally changed that. One of the best books I've read in ages. This book had everything: thrill, suspense, comedy, romance and an amazing plot. Would recommend it to teens.

I loved this book. I don't want to spoil it but you follow Samantha into making her dreams reality after the death of her number one supporter her father and how she succeeds to making into the top of F1 even without the support from her family. The driving scenes in the car are brilliant and I loves fast cars my self and it felt like I was Sat there right beside her in the car. She is feisty but tries to calm the flame in her temperament.

The fight with a fellow F1 driver is brilliant I could actually see my self doing something so immature in the heat of the moment

Unfortunately the grammar and spelling let this book down for me and I struggled to get past the first few pages. When the action should be gripping instead I found myself stumbling over poor flow, name changes such as Gil to Gill and vice-versa. This book received good comments from friends however for me the lack of editing let this book down.

I bought this book by mistake but I am so glad I did. Initially when I realised it was about Formula One I was put off but I'm glad I stuck with it.
It's really about a young woman's story who's lost her father and has the chance to fullfil her dreams but at a cost.

I've recommended this book to a few friends already

I downloaded this to read as a bedtime story for my car-mad son. It is really poorly written though and is totally unbelievable as a story. If it had been written by a child rather than for children/teens this might be acceptable, but both my son and I found the poor quality a real disappointment.

I would think lots of teenagers or adult racers would enjoy this book because It gave so much detail but not to much. Kids would also like it or maybe anyone. If you like ups and downs, love and emotional stories this is great for you. BEST BOOK I've READ IN AGES. Readers enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
