5.0 out of 5 stars The writing flowed beautifully!, 23 July 2012
This review is from: Pagan Queen (Curse of the Lost Isle Book 2) (Kindle Edition)
Queen Pressine has strange powers, which connect her to the Great Goddess. The good soul would never turn her back on those less fortunate, so pregnant and ailing, she rides her mare to the village to stop a pack of wild wolves that were bent on killing and destruction. Her loving presence connects to the animals and calms them. Before she sends them to the mountains, she frolics with the pack sharing her joy that the bloodshed has stopped. Unknown to the queen, her husband's grown son follows her trail and tries to kill her. The wolves attack him, and she's forced to save his life. Rather than being grateful, he becomes her enemy and sets out to destroy her through the church. Calling her a Satan worshipper, he gathers others to help in his sick need to destroy that which he can't accept. His hatred is immense and kept me turning the pages to see how this incredibly talented author would solve the seemingly unsolvable situation. It helps that the writing flowed beautifully and the characters grab at your heart.
