5.0 out of 5 stars Essential purchase
Bought an X10 direct from Fuji and realised that a case was going to be an essential second purchase but shocked at asking price. This one arrived promptly, is very well made and a good solid fit. Well worth the money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as reviews suggest.
There are some very good reviews for this product which lead me to have unrealistic expectations. The fit isn't as good as I'd expected and the fastenings are a little clunky. Not a problem but high expectations can lead to disappointment.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great value case, 14 Dec 2012

Fits the Fuji X10 well, offering good protection for the price. If there are two slight niggles they are the size of the screw at the bottom of the case which attaches the case to the camera, and that to remove the SD card and battery it is necessary to take the camera out of the case.

I agree with the other 3 star reviewer; this case is good, but not great. The fit and quality are both acceptable, but far from perfect. In fairness, it is a reasonably priced item and it is probably the glowing reviews here that led me to expect more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great piece of equipment., 9 July 2013

For the cost of this item you cannot go wrong. It fits snugly around the camera protecting it from knocks and scrapes. Only things is that when you have the lens hood and filter attachment you have to remove them to get the case closed. More of a drag than a problem. Very pleased with this purchase.

After a few days of ownership of the X10 I realised it would need some form of protection. I decided on this one because it had the added security of the screw mount and could also be mounted on a tripod if I wanted to. The "cover" is retained by two press studs and is a nice secure fit over the camera, it can be removed to just leave the bottom part (grip) attached. If you need to change the battery or the SD card you will have to take this off first, I don't think it is a big deal.

For some reason I expected "plastic" for the price. When I had fitted it I took another look, a really nice texture and feel, (lots of sniffing too) I couldn't tell to be honest. When I saw the label it said 44% leather 11% steel 4% nylon etc etc, settled then !! Lovely stitching, nicely padded, hopefully very practical in use. My only reservation is the "4% nylon" which I think is the screw fitting, just don't over tighten it. Easily replaced methinks.
A lovely black finish to complement the camera and I can still use the original strap.
