The original Sixties versions of Gerry's hits have been available for a long time on various compilations.
However, in 1982, the group had reached their 20th anniversary landmark and it was decided that this should be fittingly marked with a new album, revisiting and re-interpreting some of the old classics.
The album itself is enjoyable, although it is 'of its time'. The majority of the songs featured are nicely reworked, giving a fresh slant on a distinguished career.
Amazingly, this album was recorded 30 years ago, so by rights Gerry should be recording his 50th anniversary collection (!)
So...how about it Mr. Marsden??
