This review is from: Lamb: The Nightingale And The Rose (Proprius: PRCD2068) (Gerard Presencer/ Danish Radio Big Band/ The Danish National Vocal Ensemble) (Audio CD)
As I sit with a glass of Malbec in hand, listening to Siobhan Lamb's latest album - The Nightingale and the Rose - featuring the prodigiously gifted Gerard Presencer, I am hugely impressed by the writing, soloing and ensemble playing, It's exciting and incredibly musical and really needs to be heard.

The mellifluous sound of Gerard Presencer, combined with the warmth of the Danish National Vocal Ensemble and the energy of the Danish Radio Big Band equals an interesting and beautiful experience for the listener. Siobhan Lamb is a very talented and innovative composer, and Gerard Presencer is a truly exceptional trumpet player, who has a unique style and approach to improvisation.

Both Siobhan and Gerard are at the forefront of the movement to elevate jazz to a new level, embracing the rich eclectic tapestry of various musical genres in the process.

This is a truly exceptional album and I would highly recommend it to anyone with a passion for beautiful music.
