Poorly written and not convincing, it doesn't present a balanced assessment and there is no indication at the outset that the story has no conclusion.

This was such an easy read and one I couldn't put down. I couldn't get over one man fighting so much for his children. Can't wait to read the next one.

I wish that I had read the reviews before purchasing the book. It is badly written and very poorly edited. A person cannot be 'a risk flight', the term is 'a flight risk' (this is simply an example of the poor writing). Initially it sounds like the book is about M by Proxy but this is only mentioned a few times, with no real detail, evidence or explanation. This book was very hard to read, I do not want to read court transcripts of some persons name being speld out 3 times. If it was free, I would not wish to read it it, and will not be reading part 2.

The only thing that comes out in this book is that David Tognoni is the most delusioned, self centred person it would be hard to come across. I must admit almost enjoying the book, but purely on the basis of being amazed that someone could behave in this way, and seek justification for it, whilst blaming someone else for all his misfortunes. Whilst not giving a jot for the son Wes who was allegedly injured by his mother. Perhaps if he was a good father he may have spent his time helping look after this son (he thought is wife was unfair for not having the child institutionalised, and divorced her soon after). Instead he has transferred his feeling of guilt and justified them for attacking the mother of this child. What a PRAT.

Not what I thought was hoping it was going to be more about the illness not so much about court and work not a lot mentioned about Wes or his mums illness

Barely a mention of the subject/title matter. He doesn't even manage to portray himself well although he smacks of desperation that we all believe he does everything for his kids. Bad, boring and nonsensical. And pages of rubbish court transcripts????Please don't bother with this book! No doubt I will now get a reply from "evelyn" who said it all so well :-)

Another bitter divorced man...,

I thought this book was going to be a serious study of a case of MBP, how wrong I was!!It actually comes across as yet another bitter divorced man blaming his ex wife for everything while making himself out to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. As far as I can see there is no real reason to believe the mother did anything to the boy, apart from HIS accusations. This book is a total character assassination of the ex wife, and for large chunks of the book the injured son (Wes)doesn't even get a mention. He's so busy going on about how his ex is screwing him over financially, and allegedly keeping him from his other 2 kids, that it would be easy to forget what the book is actually meant to be about. Surprised this ever got published, and even more surprised that the ex wife hasn't slapped him with a big fat law suit!!

Dire......absolutely dire. This man has written an entire book about how great he is (while not realising how not so great he is) and by the way..........his son was suffocated. Cos that's how it was for me, the poor wee boy was an afterthought and most certainly a pawn in this unadulterated ego stroke of a book. And worryingly he mentions a part 2. Part one was quite frankly bad enough.

The True Story of a guy bitter after a nasty divorce,

This review is from: Suffocated: The True Story of Wes Tognoni's Suffocation (Kindle Edition)
This is only part one and is a long-winded self-justification for his refusal to support his brain damaged child. Next to nothing in the content about how the child acquired his brain injury.
