I bought this to be used with ASUS Maximus VII Impact (Z97 chipset) and it detected correctly on its first boot which makes things easier. The slim profile is nice too especially since I was building mini-ITX and space is really expensive commodity!

I am not a overclocker so I cannot comment on its overclocking ability. But since it operates on 1.5V I am sure there is plenty of headroom for overclocking as long as one has adequate cooling set-up.

Lower power consumption was one of the factor I was looking into so 1.5V is also a plus although one could 1.35V memories (I dont think I saw 16GB 1600MHz 1.35V though!).

Very nice kit of memory as always by Crucial. Also like the XMP Profile. Bought 2 kits (4 DIMMs) to bundle them for 3x4GB (total 12GB) for my s1366 based PC. Very happy with my purchase!

For £22 this RAM is a no brainer for any budget build. Crucial has a good reputation for reliability. The RAM is standard height with no pointless heat sink. It is very fast: Bus rate: 1600 MHz; Latency times: 9-9-9-24 and 1.5V, which is important for Intel CPUs. A lot of other 2 x 2GB 1600MHz kits at this price are CL10 or 1.65V so this is a bargain.

My last memory was fine, it did the job, but I started to use photoshop more and needed a bit more ram, I noticed a small speed increase immediately, for the price I thought it was a good deal. It was also helpful when I am browsing as I have a number of pages open at a time, so the responsiveness going from page to page is quicker.

For the price, it's a great bit of kit.
Packaged very well, the RAM looks great, and feels solid. Matches any motherboard you stick it in to.
Didn't create any problems with the MB BIOS either, so far so good.
Bought two sets for my gaming rig, 8GB is plenty, even for streaming.
Perfect for first time builders.

Bought this when the price was reduced on a lightning deal (Early March 2015) and installed some three weeks later into an Asus Essentio Desktop computer to double the amount of RAM memory available. The product works well enough and is recognised on my system. It is too early to conclusively say what performance improvements it has brought. I am intending to use this computer, at some point in the future, for photo editing purposes which is when I imagine that this upgrade should be useful to me, or anyway, at least it will give me some peace of mind that I have the larger RAM memory capacity to cope with these extra demanding tasks.

so i bought this 2x2gb kit for my new gaming rig and it works perfectly, the reason i got 4gb rather than 8 is because ram is about the easiest thing to upgrade in a computer system and 8gb would be too much for my bedget. I also got the RAM when it was only £24 which i am rather happy about. So now i have the money i think i will be upgrading to 8gb or maybe 12gb. But this is perfect RAM due to its lower price, stylish looks and the performance it offers

As i said i am buying another 4gb are there any known compatability issues?

This was, after careful consideration, the RAM I chose for my budget PC build, and I am definitely not disappointed. If you are considering purchasing this, I can assure you, you will not find much better for the asking price. One thing I didn't see mentioned anywhere in the item description was the speed of the RAM, it's 1600Mhz for those interested. If interested, my full build is as follows -

AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core Processor (6 x 3.5Ghz)
Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Socket AM3+ Motherboard
Corsair Builder Series CX 430 Watt PSU
Xigmatek Asgard Case
Crucial BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU Sport 8GB RAM Kit
Asus AMD Radeon HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

All told, I spent around £330 as I recycled an HDD and DVD drive from my previous build, and I already own a retail copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. This thing has had no stutters or faults in any game I've thrown at it so far, and I also use it as a DAW Audio Station for recording audio, and I haven't experienced any issues with that either. A highly recommended piece of kit!

Purchased about a month very easy to install. was a slight problem with windows 8.1 not fully recognising the full 16gb and only 8gb but was a simple fix of pushing the ram in a little more and a slight change in the settings so it used the full 16gb

was a very noticable change in speed and the time windows 8.1 started to load takes about 10-15 secs from the nearly 45 secs of the old 8gb

im a very happy user now
