Product not as shown on the picture - see attached photo!

It works well despite being a bit difficult to put together (3 stars). My biggest issue is the picture it looks nice and need but the "REAL" product has lost of disclaimers written all along the bottom taking up all the space below the net - its an imprint so you cannot take it off - a bit silly and even more silly its not show on the picture (1 stars). I can live with it but I would not have purchased it if i knew what it looked like in the first plac.

Just about the most awkward thing I have ever put together. 2 hours and very sore hands and gave up and sent it back. Bought the same type of thing from Mothercare and no problem!

We bought this to fit our standard IKEA bed - ie slats and a mattress. Having assembled the frame it does not fit as the 2 stops won't go between the mattress and the bed without breaking something. It's fine if you have a divan type bed but not with slats. It's a real shame they didn't put this on the advert (unless I missed it) as it is on the box.

It's a bit daunting when you open the package as the product seems to arrive in a million self assembly pieces but if you can force yourself to glance at the instruction sheet it's not too bad and takes about 5 minutes to assemble.
Once it is assembled it is a sturdy piece of kit and is very easy to fit.
It does the job and will fit most bed sizes. A big benefit is that it is easy to fold down to get at the bed covers.

This was stupidly hard to put together for the following reason: there are "right" and "left" locking hinges, but "left" doesn't mean "left when viewed from the front" like as you see on the box, but "left when viewed from inside the bed" which seems completely crazy (unless they just put the wrong stickers on them in the factory). Took me taking apart and reassembling the thing about 4 times before realising this. You'll know if the hinges are on the wrong way because the guard will never lock when placed on the bed.

Using this on a single bed with sprung slats and although I was unsure whether the method of locking the guard in place would be secure, it is working wonderfully!

We needed a safety rail for our 2 year old who moves around a lot in her sleep. I read a lot of reviews on similar products before I made my purchase and was given the impression many of the bed guards are very fiddly to assemble and the instructions unclear. I found the instructions and accompanying photographs for this product fairly straight forward. I went by the photographs and it does help that all the pieces are labelled. It was a little fiddly right at the end slotting the final pieces in place but my husband and I managed that between us and the whole process took no more than 20 minutes. For me, the winning aspect of this design is that the frame that supports and holds up the mesh guard, runs right under the mattress and grips the other side so there is little opportunity for the guard to be pushed away by your child. Our safety rail fits a standard single divan bed, and when I need to change the bed sheets I press the buttons located either side of the bottom of the rail to flip the guard down allowing easy access. The only negative comment I would say is that the photo of the safety rail appears to have been photo-shopped. In reality the safety guidelines are printed in black on the front of the guard which your bed sheets will not hide. But at the end of the day, that's only aesthetics. The safety rail performs exactly as promised and in over the month we've had it, the guard has not moved out of position.

Fits secure. Good size. Excellent for my son. To make sure it remains in place even when changing the bed linen, I put some Velcro ties to keep it I place when I am movie the mattress

Great that it is in a neutral colour!!!
Bedrail is simple to set up and easy to use in child's bed. Like how it can be used on both a bed that is slatted or a divan -ideal when travelling on holiday. Buttons used to fold rail down do need a little force, but this means that little fingers can not move the rail when you're not around!
Worth the money - would recommend to anyone.

I bought this bed rail for my 3 year old son when he got his first bed. I have to say that it was very easy to put onto the bed and it did the trick for a while... my son figured however just after a week that the rail bends back and he kept getting out of bed!! :)

I would say that it is ok for the price and a great colourful piece for a toddlers bedroom!!

Good product, but it comes in a silly amount of parts some of which are really awkward to fit together.
Instructions could have been a little clearer with regards to fitting the legs too.

I had to deliberately fit the legs the wrong way around (so they were facing down rather than up) to use it on our slatted double bed base.
It would probably fit a double divan too, but it wouldn't be as secure because you would need to remove the end of the legs (to make them flat).

If you have a very thick mattress, I would recommend this bed rail as it has a good height to it. If you have a thinner mattress, it would probably be easier to get a standard bed rail.
