5.0 out of 5 stars Eye on the Ball
"The Caddy" was the main reason I purchased this set. The scene where the golf ball winks at Jerry Lewis has remained in my memory since I first saw it as a kid. It's still funny. The idea that Jerry is an excellent golfer, but can't perform in front of a crowd is the theme of this comedy.

Nowhere near as funny as I remember. After a while Jerry's grating whiny voice can really get on your nerves, and Deans smugness is just looking for a slap. I struggled to watch them after a while. I turned Sailor Beware off and went to bed bored only putting it back on later to see the tiny snippet of James Dean in the boxing scene.
Shame.

"Sailor Beware" was one of Martin & Lewis;s "service" films, having already been "At War with Army" and with the Air Force in "Jumping Jacks", the title is self explanitory. Great fun.

The two colour DVDs are the highly amusing "Living it Up" and, one of their last together: "Pardners".

5.0 out of 5 stars A Superb DVD Collection, 20 Jun 2013

Pristine prints were used to produce outstanding DVD quality for these Martin & Lewis classics. So far, I've watched "Pardners" and "Sailor Beware" on my video projector with 7 feet wide picture. Wow! Very nice picture and sound! I expect very nice quality from "The Caddy" and "Living It Up" when I get around to watching them! Appearance by James Dean in "Sailor Beware" is fun to watch.
I highly recommended this box set collection to all Martin and Lewis fans! Review from Santa Maria, CA (USA)

jerry lewis, very funny, very clever twinned up with dean martin (who always gets the girl) not too sure if their film partnership was a good one,but on screen it seems to work well, but jerry lewis could & still can knock the socks off of so many newbies that we have today.well done jerry

These were a gift so I haven't seen them yet. If it's Jerry Lewis though you cant really go wrong.
