Yes it borrows from other sci fi series and books, but McCullough makes this story his own, and with his own take on what the human races future could hold. It is really worth a read, and I will be keeping an eye out for more of his stuff. So take a the chance, settle down with a good cuppa, and enjoy the ride.

This has to be one of the worst kindle books I have read on a par with "Surviving the Fog" by Stan Morris. It is predictable all the characters are so stereotype, the hero is unbeatable and of course all the women are beautiful and brave (but only up to a point they are women after all). There is also the annoying explanation of EVERY acronym used in the book whether it is in common use or not.
I think the 2 5 star ratings must be friends or family. Definitely won't go near any other books by this author.

Nice plot well executed. The stuff legends are made of. A jolly good dead well worth the purchase a lovely story to read on holiday for all those reader's who want something different but not too hard-core.

An enjoyable read. The hero is a super soldier who has a conscience. He and his friends take on a whole variety of baddies with gunplay and swordplay. Buy and enjoy. I have already bought the sequal!
