I'll never understand how these guys never made it big over here when they were so big in the states?! Proper bar room blues rock and roll that serves as a precursor to the heavier likes of AC/DC with a sleazy lyrical element that wouldn't go amiss in a Van Halen party tune. If you've ever seen 'Dazed and Confused' and loved 'Slow Ride', this is a great starting point to delve into the Foghat back catalogue.

Two of foghats very best albums;"Live" should have been a double but " Stone Blue" is the first studio album to really capture Foghats live sound. The emphasis is firmly on the blues and Rod Price sounds uncannily like Duane Allman. These 2 on 1 sets also come with a booklet with interesting liner notes.
